W to go fowards S to go backwards A to turn left D to turn right, no score. WHY AM I LEAVING? Coding on Scratch is starting to feel cumbersome. There are so many things I want to do and know how to code in Scratch, but every time I attempt to make them, I never end up finishing. For example, I could create a scrolling game in Scratch, like this one (although this has no collision, which I could also create btw). But it takes unnecessary effort, like making my own scrolling engine instead of just having a camera follow the player. Another limitation is the clone limit. I could work around it with code to make a single sprite go to multiple positions in a single frame, do all the necessary math, take the form of the objects, and then stamp them. But honestly, that would just waste a lot of time unnecessarily. WHERE I'M GOING I'm transitioning to Godot, an open-source game engine with GDScript (basically Python) and heaps of amazing features that expand my opportunities much more. Things like camera following, camera zoom, shaders, and MUCH more will make it a lot easier for me to create the things I actually want to make. THANKS TO I never really had a community on Scratch, as I'm not the greatest at making friends, but the people who helped me the most (even though it was a tiny amount and I barely talked to them) were @rocketest and @rkgamer. Also, thank you to the Scratch Team, even though I have hated on you occasionally (a lot) for PURPLE SCRATCH??? CHANGE IT BACK!!! Anyway, thank you, Scratch Team, for keeping this website up so I could actually use it. NOTES I know this probably won't get many views, but I don't want to just mysteriously disappear, hence this project. Also i have unshared all my previous projects bcoz idk js felt like it but yeh Ta ta scratch have a nice day!
