The R211 fleet is the newest train fleet (currently). The R211A is a type of R211 without Open Gangways (Open Gangways are on the R211T.) It contains very useful information and has many other improvements. It runs on the A,B,C,D, and G lines and for CBTC testing it runs on the E,F, and R lines. There is a base order containing 440 R211A cars for the A and C lines, Option order 1 of 640 R211A cars for the B,D,G, and also some for extra R211s on the A and C lines, the next option order (option order 2) contains 355 R211A cars for the D,N,Q and W lines. N,Q,W are the next lines to receive R211s by the way. Also R268s are not R211s but very similar so I'll mention that there are 378 R268 cars ordered to replace the remaining R68 and R68A fleet. The R211 will replace the R46 and some R68s and R68As with R268s replacing the remaining R68/R68A fleet.
