Lwk feel like lore bombing so I'll just do that here This is just an explanation of Archer and Pollux's lore since I don't wanna spoil TOO much If you WANT to read my rambling, look in Notes because I'll have the full explanation of lore there, this one is just a tl;dr (too long/didn't read) Basically - Planet got devoured by unknown entity - Archer got sent to Earth from the unknown entity - Archer is found by humans - Archer is now being taken care of by humans Now for Pollux's lore summarize thing..... - Created in the cosmos as a discarded being due to being too powerful - Found Archer's unconscious body while he was drifting through space - Entered Archer's body since Pollux was in need of a vessel to stay alive - Now lives in Archer's body and subsequently with the two humans who raised/are raising Archer
FULL LORE EXPLANATION + FUN FACTS: Archer lived on a planet far away, farther than any solar system we could ever discover. This planet was named Epsilon. The downfall of this planet would be an unknown, all-consuming entity called the Singularity. Archer had no idea this event was occuring at the time, since he was supposedly asleep. All he remembers is waking up on an unfamiliar planet. (Note that Archer was only around 10 years old at the time.) Archer eventually also found out he's been sharing a body with a cosmic spirit who ended up becoming his guardian, Pollux. He was a little freaked out by this at first, but he ended up getting used to it after Pollux saved him from a life-or-death situation. He now sees Pollux as an older brother. Archer is also at some point discovered by two humans, who decide to take him into their home to raise him. He has been living there for approximately seven years now. So that's about it for Archer's lore. Now for Pollux. Pollux was created with the intention of being a combat tool, but his creators quickly found out he was too volatile and was prone to outbursts of anger, so they discarded him to space where they hoped he would dissolve from a lack of a vessel. However, after the Singularity had fully devoured Epsilon, Pollux found Archer's body in space and entered it without thinking, knowing he was on his last bits of life at that time. Pollux is now stuck in Archer's body unless either Archer is knocked unconscious or Archer willingly frees him. Pollux is not bothered by this at all, since he has the ability to take over Archer's body and channel energy into that form if needed for dangerous situations. Fun facts: - Archer sometimes calls Pollux his big brother without thinking of it - Pollux describes Archer's soul as, in his words, "vibrant and colorful" - Archer sometimes has trouble summoning Pollux and will, on some occasions, rip him directly from his body. Yes, this hurts. - Pollux becomes INCREDIBLY powerful when enraged, and is also very protective of Archer Random fun facts about Archer's beta design: - He was originally going to have the ability to split his body into multiple parts. This was scrapped because I figured it would be too difficult to model with my current skills. - He originally had white hair. - He originally had a more maniac-like mentality, but I decided it wouldn't fit his lore, so this was also scrapped. - His original color was blue instead of purple. - He originally had horns.
