Kate and Rose have been going back and forth with loving each other. Rose is totally okay with her sexuality and wants Kate to love her, but Kate grew up in a very traditional house and is afraid of liking anyone other than a boy. Kate's mom eventually finds out her and Rose sneak around in private and "punishes" Kate in an attempt to "fix" her but all it does is make Kate scared. Kate's sister however is very accepting and tells Kate she can love whoever she wants.
