The recent first contact with the nation of Acamar alongside several other factors such as overpopulation and just a general wish to explore the unknown has lead the Ke'Fron to prepare to launch an expedition to explore more of the galaxy. The first couple expeditions were simple scout ships, noting what they encountered and mapping out hyperlanes, they discovered their placement on a peninsula. All this information was relayed to the trusted allies of the Ke'Fron and, of course, the people under the Ke'Fron themselves, which started a sort of manifest destiny crossed with a refugee expedition as many displaced by the Auvued civil war currently happening were taken on by the Ke'Fron and, alongside members and supporters of the Ke'Fron, took places on "colony ships". these colony ships were basically a mostly self-sustainable space habitat surrounded by a thin truss with a bridge, engines and an FTL drive. Once the "colony ship" reached the desired position the space habitat held within would detach and the outer structure would move and then return to carry another space habitat. Alongside the habitats, exploration of any possibly inhabitable worlds would be conducted to see if they were potential candidates for colonies, with drones being sent first to check the atmosphere and conduct studies followed potentially by science crews if the world is habitable and then by the most adventurous of colonists and the military, setting up prefabricated buildings and a primitive spaceport to help the colony grow through it's earliest stages. Not only will these colonies be for housing the populace, for too shall they be sources of materials for the war effort! Mining spacecraft are deployed from the space habitats and from specialised mining transports to begin tearing apart the asteroid fields across the newly-claimed lands of the Ke'Fron to take whatever is valuable from them. The metals are sent to produce weapons, ships, vehicles and other goods in the more developed regions and ice is sent to the colonies to help with farming or hydroponics and for purification for use as drinking water. The other materials will be allocated to other priorities such as whatever theyre needed for like farming or construction or potentially making munitions for the war effort depending on the material.
