The Nine Satanic Sins • 1. Stupidity: The cardinal sin; remaining ill-informed or failing to think critically, often promoted by mass media. • 2. Pretentiousness: Empty posturing, taking unearned credit, or acting like a "big shot" without backing it up. • 3. Solipsism: Projecting your own reactions, desires, and standards onto others who do not share them or expect the same courtesy. • 4. Self-Deceit: Submitting to comfortable untruths, false roles, or sacred cows. • 5. Herd Conformity: Blindly following or conforming to the unthinking majority or impersonal social groups. • 6. Lack of Perspective: Losing sight of the big picture, historical/social context, and how your actions impact others. • 7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies: Falling for repackaged old ideas and accepting them as new or revolutionary. • 8. Counterproductive Pride: Clinging to failed strategies, refusing to compromise, or failing to admit mistakes. • 9. Lack of Aesthetics: Ignoring personal balance, harmony, and universal standards of beauty.
