The Satanic Temple (TST) Holidays The Satanic Temple observes five official secular and symbolic holidays: • Lupercalia (February 15): Celebrates bodily autonomy, s-xual liberation, and reproduction. • Hexennacht (April 30): A solemn day honoring victims of superstition, witch hunts, and the Satanic Panic. • Unveiling Day (July 25): Commemorates the 2015 unveiling of the Detroit Baphomet statue to celebrate religious plurality. • Halloween (October 31): Embraces the darkness, aesthetics, costumes, and indulgence. • Sol Invictus (December 25): Celebrates the pursuit of knowledge and being unconquered by superstition during the winter solstice. Church of Satan Holidays The Church of Satan focuses on individualism rather than structured group holidays: • Personal Birthday: Considered the highest and most important holiday for an individual Satanist, spent doing enjoyable things for oneself. • Walpurgisnacht / May Eve (April 30): Marks the founding anniversary of the Church of Satan in 1966 alongside traditional spring climax themes. • Halloween (October 31): Celebrates inner-self exploration, the macabre, and the memory of the dead. • Solstices and Equinoxes: Optional celebrations of the changing seasons.
