Classification Necti Empire Designation: G-05 Common Name: Grave Fortress Ship Type: Heavy Assault Cruiser Primary Role: Fleet Breaker / Siege Ship Nickname: "The Ship That Refuses to Die" Stat: G-05 Grave Fortress Class: Heavy Assault Cruiser Role: Assault, fleet support, siege, command Length: 170 meters Crew: 20–60 Necti Troop Capacity: 300 Necti Hull Integrity: 1,800 Armor: Extremely Heavy Shielding: Heavy Speed: Moderate Maneuverability: Low Atmospheric Flight: Yes, but difficult FTL: Yes Main Power: Massive Necrotic Core Main Systems: Necrotic Heart: The enormous green structure in the center is the ship's primary power source. Unlike the G-04's smaller core, the G-05's core contains thousands of preserved biological components taken from dead Necti. The Necti believe this allows the ship to possess a form of collective "life." Grave Engines: The rear engines are enormous and extremely powerful. They allow the ship to push its massive armored hull through space. They're not particularly fast compared to smaller Necti ships, but once the Grave Fortress gets moving, stopping it is extremely difficult. Four Grave Cannons: The four large weapons surrounding the Necrotic Heart are the ship's primary weapons. Each cannon can fire massive bolts of condensed necromantic energy. A single shot can punch through heavy armor. The cannons can also rotate independently, allowing the G-05 to attack multiple targets simultaneously. Grave Cannons ×4: Damage: Extremely High Range: Very Long Purpose: Anti-ship They fire enormous green-black energy bolts. When they hit a living target, the necromantic energy can continue eating away at biological material even after the initial impact. Corpse-Maker Batteries: Smaller weapons hidden around the hull they're used against: Fighters Boarding craft Infantry Missiles Small ships Necrotic Pulse: The Grave Fortress can release the energy stored in its central heart. A massive green shockwave spreads around the ship. It can: Disable nearby electronics Damage shields Disrupt engines Interfere with living nervous systems Temporarily weaken magical/psychic abilities The pulse takes several minutes to recharge. The Fourfold Cannon: All four Grave Cannons can synchronize. The green energy from each cannon flows toward the Necrotic Heart before being redistributed back into the weapons. The resulting attack is called the Fourfold Grave Beam. It is one of the G-05's most powerful weapons. Defensive Systems: Dead Hull: The armor is partially made from specially treated biological material. When damaged, the material can slowly regenerate. Grave Shield: The ship has a thick necromantic energy shield. Instead of simply blocking attacks, portions of the shield can absorb energy from incoming weapons and feed it back into the Necrotic Heart. Other systems: Army of the Dead: The Grave Fortress contains huge numbers of preserved Necti bodies. During a boarding operation, the ship can open its deployment bays and release hundreds of reanimated soldiers. The ship essentially becomes a mobile undead army base. Necromantic Boarding: Instead of simply sending soldiers onto an enemy vessel, the G-05 can inject necromantic energy into the enemy ship. If enough crew members die, the Necti can attempt to reanimate them and turn them against their former allies. Necti Crew: 1 Grave Admiral: Commands the entire ship and controls its overall battle strategy. 1 Death Navigator: Navigates through normal space and performs FTL jumps. 4 Grave Gunners: Each controls one of the four massive Grave Cannons. 4 Necromancer-Engineers: Maintain the Necrotic Heart, engines, shields, and ship regeneration. 2 Soul Technicians: Maintain the ship's soul-conduits and prevent unstable spirits from interfering with the ship. 4 Reanimation Keepers: Maintain the hundreds of preserved Necti bodies stored aboard the ship. 2 Death-Sight Operators: Operate the ship's sensors and detect living beings, ships, and necromantic energy. 4 Boarding Commanders: Lead Necti forces when the ship launches boarding operations. 10-40 Reanimated Crew: Perform basic maintenance, loading, repairs, ammunition handling, and other physical tasks. 200 preserve bodies: use for deployment.
