Welcome to Moonhop - A Platformer! You play as Mochi, an adorable, high-jumping bunny on a mission to reach the stars. Your goal is to hop from cloud to cloud, climb higher into the night sky, and get the highest score possible. Here is everything you need to know to play. How to Control Mochi • Move Left and Right: Press the Left and Right Arrow Keys (or A and D) to guide Mochi across the screen. • Bounce: Mochi bounces automatically whenever you land on a safe cloud. • Dash: Press the Spacebar to dash forward and quickly clear large gaps. • Pause and Unpause: Press the P Key at any time to pause your game, and press it again to resume playing. Objects and Items • Cloud Platforms: These are your safe zones. Land on them to bounce higher into the sky. • Stars: Collect these shiny stars scattered across the sky to boost your score. • Grumble (The Thunderstorm Cloud): These are dark, angry storm clouds. Avoid them at all costs. Game Rules and Hazards • The Goal: Climb higher and higher. The game tracks your peak height and your total stars collected. • Grumble Alert: If Mochi touches a Grumble cloud, you will get zapped, and it is game over. • Watch the Fall: Do not fall past the bottom of the screen. If you miss a cloud and drop out of view, the game ends. Tips for a High Score • Time Your Dashes: Save your Spacebar dash for moments when you misjudge a jump or need to escape an approaching Grumble cloud. • Plan Your Bounces: Look ahead to see where the next set of clouds is located so you do not get trapped. • Stars versus Safety: Do not risk a dangerous jump for a star if a Grumble cloud is right next to it.
