Oh No! Holly Chang: A Harry Potter Fanfic By @RowenaRavenclaw51 Based on the books by J.K.Rowling And the play by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and J.K.Rowling Chapter 11: We were in a huge hall with an open roof. Except it wasn't because Rose had told me that the roof was bewitched to look like the sky in that boring lecture. There were five tables with blue and bronze, green and silver, red and gold or yellow and black tablecloths. The last one housed the teachers and had the Hogwarts crest on it. A patched, dirty hat was on a stool at the front of the hall. Everyone was staring at it. I did too. A rip like a mouth opened near the rim and it sang: " A thousand years ago or more, When I had just been made. The noble founders of our school Started to feel afraid. What if the others plotted To throw them out forever. So the able founders Stopped being quite so clever They fought for days Those good old pals Now hated one another Of sword on sword Of friend on friend Of like sister on like brother And now again Once more Our school Is in some sort of trouble So help No matter who you are To dig fellows out the rubble We all agree We love our school So keep it from destruction And unite once I have split you To stop danger creeping in Now nears the end of my song I have told you I have warned you... I shall sort the first year throng. " The hall applauded but everyone was whispering to each other frantically. I wondered whether the hat was always this dramatic. Professor McGonnagal walked up to the stool and began calling out names! " Abbott Chloe!" became a Hufflepuff, whilst "Boldock Erin!" was decided to be Gryffindor. All the students put the hat on their head before being chosen. Sometimes the hat took a while to sort the students and sometimes it shouted their house immediately. Eventually, "Chang Holly!" was called and the hat fell over my eyes.
