Stem is an entity that appears in The Stairwell. APPEARANCE Stems appear as differently colored uneven balls with eyes, ears, mouths, and noses. They're said to be made out of a clay-like substance. Stems may occasionally assemble with each other into various unique forms. BEHAVIOR Stems appear in four colors, being orange, green, blue, and a rarer gold, which gives Gold250 upon being popped. Stems have a chance to be in the cubbies littered around The Stairwell. They roll towards the player, occasionally ramming into them and dealing a small amount of damage. Stems can be picked up with both hands and thrown, popping them upon repeated impact with a surface. When a Fire Sprinkler is activated with a Stem outside, it will harden, becoming a Ceramic Stem. These can be grinded at a Depot for scrap, and are worth significantly more scrap when merged than when individually hardened. Stems can also assemble to make either a pillar, a rotating T-shape, a humanoid figure or a large ball resembling a human face. Removing a Stem from these structures will cause them to disassemble. Assembled Stems will never attack players, remaining docile until separated.
