hello! i decided to make some orca oc's, and then i decided to make a tutorial on how to draw orc's made in procreate, and quality is COMPLETELY ruined rip extra info: (recommended to read) males are bigger than females. they have larger pectoral fins and taller, more triangular dorsal fins. the dorsal fin mostly varies between males and females, and different "ecotypes" (types of orcas, such as residents, transient, offshore etc) for the tail flukes, males can sometimes have curved-down tail flukes (i think it looks cute <3) the saddle patch also varies, being closed, open, and in visibility (sometimes completely invisible) so yes, most orcas in captivity end up with collapsed dorsal fins. this is much more common in males, because of their tall dorsal fins. it's not quite sure WHY this happens, but scientists think it's because of constantly being exposed to air and gravity, diet changes, etc etc. hope this somehow helped! (no i did not make this tutorial because i was bored) yummy chinook salmon and shark liver
