A different future in history… * This is my AU, so it's not canon. This is a manifestation of my “what if” scenario. Just as in reality, St. GIGA began test broadcasts in 1990 and officially launched in 1991. As in actual history, Nintendo later invested in the project and launched the Satellaview, which was linked to the Super Famicom(Called as SNES in North America/Europe). In my alternate history, the financial difficulties weren't severe, and in 1999, rather than withdrawing, Nintendo made the company a subsidiary and began using “Satellaview”—the same name as the service for the Super Famicom—as the name for its broadcasts. However, since Nintendo had already launched the Nintendo 64, we will reorganize the station to focus specifically on Nintendo news programming, moving beyond its role as a service for the Super Famicom… The names “Club Cosmo” and “WINJ” in 2003 are the same as in real life, but the difference is that they are operated under Nintendo's umbrella. Furthermore, there is none of the seriousness that characterized the WINJ era, and the TV broadcasts that were originally supposed to take place are now a reality, airing on the 12th channel of BS. In other words, it is offered as the channel that corresponds to the real-world BS-TwellV. However, unlike the actual TwellV, where shopping content makes up the bulk of the programming, this service has virtually no such issues and offers rich, high-quality content. In particular, it features a wide selection of Nintendo-related programs. * The television broadcast began in 2007. On January 27, 2012, following the launch of the Nintendo Network as a network service for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, WINJ was renamed to the Nintendo Network, the same brand as the company’s network service. This is what is known as brand extension, but the term “network” is also appropriate for referring to a broadcast station. The current logo was adopted in 2016, and its colors and other elements were updated to coincide with the introduction of Nintendo's new logo. If I come up with anything, I'll probably start thinking about the alternate history of Nintendo (Maxiverse)... My AU will continue to expand.
