Gourdy 9:00 PM ------------------------------------------------ "That's it." I sat on my mattress, hugging my dust figure tightly. What time was it? When did I last sleep? It didn't matter now. Vee had explained WHY we were locked up here. She had explained WHY my brain always felt funny. Ichor? HAPPY Ichor? What was the difference? Still, I didn't ask questions. I didn't want them to think I was dumb. Astro didn't seem to care. "AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!" He shouted at her. Vee winced. "I'm sorry." She said. "You don't sound like it." "..." Astro glared at her, then sighed. I watched them for a while before turning away. A sudden ringing sounded in my ears. It stopped. .... 'Hello!' I blinked, startled. 'Hi,' I thought cautiously. Was my mind playing tricks on me? Or worse, was I talking to myself? 'Nope.' I heard the 'voice' reply. 'I'm VERY much real.' I didn't say anything for some time before answering: 'Who are you? Or, what are you?' Silence. Long, Painful, Silence. Then the voice answers, 'I don't think I should tell you right now.' 'Please,' I begged the voice, 'you might be my only friend.' 'You don't have any other friends?' 'No.' Silence ONCE again. I was getting frustrated. 'Fine.' I perked up. 'Who are you then?' 'Bobette.' My mind exploded. Bobette, the same one who Vee called 'evil'? The same one who had watched over me and cared for me? I could not believe it! 'So you ARE still watching over me!' I cried, no longer caring about Vee. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Shelly trying to wave at me. 'Yep!' Bobette replied cheerfully. 'I'm here to guide you along the correct path and to help you make decisions!' 'Why would I need help with that?' A minute passed. I could feel tension in the air. Then a faint shimmer appeared before my eyes. Bobette appeared. She looked like a spirit, transparent and ghostly. She held my face in her hands. They felt warm. "Gourdy," She said softly, her breath tickling my face(NOT BEING WEIRD). "You're still young. You need help." My eyes flicked around. No one else seemed to see her. "You won't leave me?" I asked, tears pushing through. "Why would I ever leave you? You need me... and I need you."
