The official countdown to Scratchtober 2026 has begun! Scratchtober starts Monday, October 19, 2026 so be sure to come back for more information. Until then, join us in the countdown! What is Scratchtober? Scratchtober, inspired by Inktober, will provide a list of random prompts (words, ideas, themes) for you to use as inspiration. From these prompts you can create artwork, games, animations, stories, tutorials, or whatever else you can imagine! Prompts will be shared in a project starting Monday, October 19, 2026. When is Scratchtober? Everything starts on Monday, October 19, 2026 and will last for two weeks, with the last official day being November 1, 2026. Be sure to check @ScratchCat's account on October 19th for a project and studio that shares more information. Who can participate in Scratchtober? Everyone is welcome and invited to participate! It is free, online, and we will have a studio where you can share projects you've made related to Scratchtober. Looking forward to seeing what you will create! About the countdown: We tried something new with the countdown this time so let's see if it works the way we intended :P In theory, the countdown shows us how much time is left until October 19, 2026 at 8am UTC+1. (The Days Since 2000 block uses UTC time.) We had to pick a time for the countdown to stop so we selected 8am as it will be Oct 19 for most people at that point and also the event will be officially starting sometime shortly after that. Be sure to keep checking @ScratchCat's account for more information once the countdown ends! - - - - - Artwork: Created in Illustrator, with help from @ceebee Font: Stay Peach Music: "Moonlight Hall" Kevin MacLeod found on (incompetech.com); Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Scratchtober themed OC : @cookirde (made on canva with assets from here) See you soon! =^..^=
