Welcome to CUSTOM DAEDALUS, a 3D raycasted maze crawler! Objective: Navigate the twisting corridors of Daedalus's labyrinth. Use your vision cone to look ahead, solve the maze layout, and find the hidden exit to escape. Controls: • W / S or Up / Down Arrows — Move forward and backward. • A / D or Left / Right Arrows — Rotate your vision/camera left and right. • [Optional] M — Toggle the 2D overview map. Tips for smooth gameplay: • If the 3D rendering lags, try running the game in TurboWarp for a smoother 60 FPS experience!
How it works: This project utilizes custom 3D Raycasting math to project a 2D maze layout into a real-time pseudo-3D first-person perspective, dynamically calculating distances to render wall heights. Credits: • Code & Concept: Inspired by classic labyrinth lore and retro raycasting engines. • Art & Design: Title screen graphic and project assets created by me. • Special Thanks: Thanks to the Scratch community for tutorials on list-based map generation and pen-rendering techniques!
