Even King Solomon asked God for it. Wisdom is important for making choices, so turn to God if you need it. A part of wisdom is deciding to keep going or turn to the Lord for help when you encounter a problem. Wisdom begins with the "fear of the Lord," which isn't about fearing the Lord, but respecting him, and knowing that he's your friend and all-might powerful God.
