Full title: Happy 10th Anniversary Paper Mario: Color Splash! As you can clearly see by the title, today marks the 10th anniversary of Paper Mario: Color Splash. The reason why I decided to make something for it is because Color Splash is my absolute favorite Paper Mario game. I couldn't even tell you why it's my favorite because I just love it a lot. It's nostalgic for me because I grew up with the Nintendo Wii U which is the console that this game was released on. I think it had a really good story and I guess I just really like the concept of the game. Basically, the story of the game is where color has been sucked out of parts of the world and with the help of Huey, a sentient paint can and your companion, you have to go and restore the color to the world. There's also lot's of very memorable funny moments in the game like there's a part where you fall into a pit and it says "Huey's not breathing!" but then Huey wakes and tells you of course he's not breathing because he doesn't have lungs. Another part is where you have to repaint this giant coin by getting one of the Big Paint Stars and before you collect it, Huey's talking about how you're going to be so rich but when you collect it, you only get one coin and Huey gets mad. Also the reason Bowser became the villain of the story is not because he's Bowser but it's because he wanted a rainbow shell but accidentally created black paint which corrupted him. Also, the ocean is one of the places that gets uncolored and you can try to repaint it yourself as the game does give you that option but it's impossible to actually do that and you need another one of the Big Paint Stars in order to do that (And Huey calls you crazy for trying to do so). And then of course, there's Huey's sacrifice at the end of the game to absorb all the black paint (which is very harmful) and he uses it to paint the night sky and even though it's sad, I still think it's such an amazing ending. The soundtrack to it is also amazing and even with the title's name being 'Color Splash' there's actually some very freaky parts like the literal beginning of the game, the entire story of the Dark Bloo Inn level, and there's this one Shy Guy you have to fight that's folded in half and while you fight it, it plays this extremely creepy music and the only way to harm it is by using a 'Thing'. So yeah, even though so much of the soundtrack and vibes of the game are happy, there's also the really creepy parts too. So yeah, I love this game so much and it holds so many memories (even if some of those memories are my brother going onto me and all my siblings accounts and playing the game for us). And also, the reason I first discovered I needed glasses was when I was playing this game and I actually do love having glasses. It's just very near and dear to my heart so I can't believe it's been 10 years since it came out. I'm definitely gonna find time sometime soon to play it because recently my dad finally got a new battery for my family's Wii U. And plus, Huey's my favorite Paper Mario companion because of how funny he is with how sarcastic he can be and as far as I know in the games where you only really have one companion so Sticker Star, this game, and Origami King, your companion isn't as sarcastic and funny as Huey is. I love this game and I'm so glad it exists <3333 Characters: Paper Mario (Red guy with hammer) Huey (Paint can)
