Another expansion has been approved by the legislature, containing another five systems mostly focused in the north, with only a single western system in order to complete the gap with our allies. The other four are in the north and are planned to be mostly military-focused systems with significant shipyards and defensive installations. This is the so-called "North Line" plan, created to serve as a buffer between our capital of Fustalia and our northern border, which we suspect is the most likely direction any invader would come from. The plan involves creating a scenario in which our hypothetical opponent would be forced to suffer enormous casualties in a grueling push southward, potentially crippling their forces right then and there. We plan to expand on this plan eventually, as once diplomatic relations are established with northern nations, there is a good chance they know our land well enough at that point to be smart enough to simply go around.
