Shadowspark was ecstatic. tonight she would go to her first gathering as a warrior! She headed over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a squirrel. "Hey, Shadowspark, come eat with me!" she looked over and saw Greytail. she ignored him and looked around the clearing. She padded over to featherstorm and brakenfoot, her parents, who were sharing tongues outside of the warriors den. "Hello!" featherstorm mewed. "Excited for your first gathering as a warrior?" "Yes! I'm so excited for cederstar to announce it!" she purred. "We are so proud of you." her father said. "I only wish that applekit, and rosepaw could have been here." "We all do." applekit and rosepaw had been shadowspark's littermates. applekit had died of greencough, and rosepaw of an infected rat bite. "let all cats old enough to to hunt join beneath highrock for a clan meeting!" cederstars yowl rang around the hollow. shadowspark ran over and sat in-between lilysteam and piketooth. "tonight is the gathering!" cederstar anounced. "lilysteam, stormfang, rosefeather, piketooth, brakenfoot, and shadowspark will attend. we leave at moonhigh. clan dismissed." shadowspark walked over to the boulders on the far side of the camp. all of shadowclan loved sunning themselves on them. before she could get there though, she heard a rustling in the bushes. all of the sudden three balls of fluff launched themselves at her. "we got youuu!" sunkit screeched. her and her littermates, sparrowkit and ivykit, loved launching sneak attack on all of the warriors, and they were surprisingly good at it! "All right, give shadowspark a break." poppyfern, the kits mother, walked over, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes. "fineeee." sunkit whined. "Thanks." shadowspark murmured to the queen. "Don't mention it!" "hey shadowspark!" she turned, it was greytail. "come share this rabbit with me!" "sorry, but I'm not hungry!" she mewed grudgingly. she sighed inwardly. it was obvious to the whole clan that he was madly in love with her, but she found him to be annoying, and bossy. "shadowclan, time to leave for the gathering!" cederstar called.
