⚬──────────✧──────────⚬ hey folks, this is my newest oc, espen! ⚬──────────✧──────────⚬ ⤷ name ⤷ espen means bear god, which basically has no relevance what so ever except for the fact that espen has unusual strength... ⤷ affiliation ⤷ espen is widely recognised as the guardian of the forest, a mythical deity bestowed with the burden of leading the souls of the woods of wandering. ⤷ these woods are an almost endless expanse of dense woodland that rarely sees the sunlight, paths forever changing. clearings move, paths change courses and souls wander. ⤷ origin ⤷ espen was once a living being too. he roamed the outskirts of the woods, seeking his brother in the maze of thickets. he saw an opening amidst the shrouded woodland, and wound up paying the ultimate price. the god of the dead took pity on his young soul, instead reviving him as an immortal deity. now, he guides lost souls to the confines of the afterlife. though he himself wanders the ever- changing paths to find his brother. ⤷ personality ⤷ grim and realistic, not much of a talker. though when he does, his words are encrypted in riddles and rhymes, derived from the whispers of fallen that taunt him. ⤷ extras ⤷ his markings are the aftermazh of his injuries, now engraves upon his immortal body ⤷ the star earing was a gift from the ruler of death, which gives him his immortality and power ⤷ once the forest accepts you as a soul past ascension to the afterlife, it slowly grants you a small droplet of its power in the form of horns; these can vary! ⚬──────────✧──────────⚬ all art and writing by yours truly, @_krow
