Sorry I haven't been on here much. After being off Scratch all summer, I realised I needed a break. The projects I kept taking on were stressing me out, I'm not technically allowed to socialize online, and I found that for some reason, I didn't really want to come back right away. I think, in part, it's because of school. I'm now officially diagnosed with minor ADHD and Autism. I knew I get distracted easily, but that diagnosis somehow helped me realise more about myself. Scratch takes away from my time and productivity in school. I think about it instead of MY projects, or do it whenever I hop on my Chromebook, instead of doing homework. It's not good, and I was starting to get a little addicted. So, I'm taking a break. I think that, once I get my grades back up to As, I'll start easing back on. Part of me is a little worried for the reactions my months-late art commissions, MAP parts, etc will bring. I think that's the worst part. Most of them are done, or close, but... Well... Oops? I'm a little sad I haven't been roleplaying Huckleberrysoar in Generations recently, though. I still really really love him, maybe as much as my new D&D character, and he's never once RPd with his kits lol. I regret that so bad TvT Anyway, sorry for randomly disappearing for like half a year. Know that I am fine, but I will still not be on for a while. Then, soon-ish, I'll be on occasionally, infrequently. I will probably never be as rediculously, screen-zombie active as I was before, though, and that's good. I may make another account for it, but I MAY also focus more on sharing cool things I did, rather than trying to make stupid new content that kind of lines up with everyone else's. Just because it's cool when someone else does it doens't mean I need to, as well. I learned this the hard way with digital comics a few years back. CHESS is still a passion of mine, but my artstyle has changed, so I haven't drawn much. The characters didn't transition over well. It still lives on in my head, though, and there are many unadded panels still on my phone. I'm also not 100% sure how I want to go about side-switching and faster moves. There's lots I want to show, so I might just remake it or continue while stepping away from the strict move-by-move chess setup. I'm leaning toward just continuing, though. The thought of starting over would be sad, and it's fine right now. It's a work in progress. Thank you, and bye for now!! :D
Oh, also, Scratch was leading to sleep deprivation and distraction from real-world focuses. So, though I have chosen not to leave, my online presence will be (hopefully) significantly lessened. I felt much better during those months off Scratch than I have for a long time. I think stuff like commission pressure was stressing me too, so I likely won't do more MAP parts or give away art unless it's a surprise I'm choosing to do on my own time. Thank you! :D Edit: Guys, I'm really not feeling depressed or anything lol. Rereading this, I still just see it as a light-ish apology and activity notice. This isn't as big a deal as y'all make it seem-- :'D
