Shortly after Silverfishstar’s haranguing speech to the clan, Fogkit felt anxious to say the least. He curled up in the nursery and reflected on his overflowing thoughts. He knew he was anybody but the target audience but he was uneasy nevertheless. He always took criticism straight to the head. It wasn’t his fault. He could see that clear as day- he wasn’t a mousebrain. But it gets to a point..Fogkit’s determination to not be seen as useless just simply kept building and building over time. Now it was near the breaking point. He was taken into this clan for no logical reason. They had enough kits and warriors- he was just another mouth to feed and protect. He was a burden. The pressure to be beneficial to the clan gradually grew over time. At first it started off small: believing he had no right to have fun. Then it became larger: believing kits should never (and I mean NEVER) disrupt cats who were actually working unlike them. Genuinely to the point where they should be invisible. And then even larger: believing he wasn’t worth anything if he wasn’t helping the clan. Now that he was about to become an apprentice, Fogkit felt fear in becoming deadweight to the very clan who took him in.
That clan meeting perfectly set up this character development for him ngl He now fully fears being useless <3 been waiting for this moment- Growing older is hard- the responsibility, the pressure to do everything right..I hope I exhibited that well in this SRP without making it seem unrealistic :’>
