"Look! something is surfacing!" said the pilot. and indeed, something was surfacing. first, huge purple-hued dorsal plates came, then a long tail with a head on the end, and finally, a massive, scared body topped with a huge head came up. everyone on the helicopter knew it. that was Godzilla. no mistaking it. sure, he looked a bit different, but it had been nearly 20 years. Godzilla roared. not the shrieking, scratchy roar of a creature plagued by radiation, but a low, reverberating roar that was heard across Japan. he fired his atomic breath, and even a secondary one came from his tail-head. the king of the monsters had returned.
