Ummm, felt like entering in a project bc I'm just like dat :P I like Relic's design!!! Hmmm, kinda thinking of renaming them Apollo???? Hmmmmmm.... Alright, enough of me yapping and here's da entry: (below)
I adjust my shiny golden neckband as the gleaming faint moonlight bounces off it, giving my room an iridescent glow. It looks less crooked now. Perfect as it should be. At the tip of my tail, lays a full moon, with the little royal crest sealed upon it like the rest of my jewelry is. It's a simple little circle with crisscrossing pinkish and dark purple quarter circles. And everyone in the land knows it belongs to my kingdom. I was born into a royal family, probably the most royal in all the sandy deserts and cloud fields. Right now I'm in the cloud castle, a magnificent large castle adorned with sparkling sapphires and wide silver arches. Clouds conceal the palace, making it the perfect place to plan, rest, and stay hidden for the night. I sigh and flop onto my bed. I glance at the beautiful gem-encrusted clock hanging on my wall. The hands move in silent swaying motions marking seconds and minutes as they go by. Suddenly a little chime rings out, marking it 11:00 PM. I hop up and walk over to the balcony. Pushing open the doors quietly and gazing out at a moonlight garden. I peer at a patch of wisterias, and spot Emerald. I quickly look around to make sure no one is looking, and shut the doors. I leap off the balcony in one swift motion before flapping my large elegant wings. Slowly I land, folding my wings in quickly. Emerald, is my best friend, the only person it's okay to be imperfect with. Well, of course my mother doesn't know of our friendship, she would hate for me to be imperfect or to be friends with someone in a lower level than me. I sigh a little shaking the thought away and grin at Emerald. Emerald is a sleek ivory colored cat, with deep green eyes. She walks over and purrs, "So Relic, I'm guessing your mom made you have an unexpected surprise dinner? I'm correct, right? I'm a fortune teller if you didn't know," she remarks, grinning. I bat her gently and say, "Hey, not fair, you work at the palace, of course you would know that!" She tries to look offended but ends up in a pile of fur and laughs. She pretends to wipe a tear away from her eye after all the laughter but just laughs even more. When she finally stops, she gets up and points me deeper into the garden. "Come on! I'm sure Ruby is waiting for us," she whispers and bounces off. I follow her, trying to mimic her graceful cat-like ways, but my large feathery legs clunk behind me. Finally we reach a patch of roses, and a little face stares at us. The face emerges into a fully grown cat, or known to us as Ruby. Ruby is Emerald's older sister, who cares for her more than anything in the world. She says, "I could hear you laughing from right here Emerald!" she softens a little before adding, "Come on, lets quickly go to the shack before we get caught and our whole plan gets ruined." Emerald nods and we bound off a rusty, old, and broken down shed. It's nothing compared to my room, but it'll have to do. I flinch as bugs and rotten wood scrape my clean feathers, and press my wings closer to me. We squeeze through a small hole and enter a cramped up, small room. Ruby sighs and peers through a little window before draping a curtain over it. "We're safe," she says, and adds, "for now." Emerald jumps up and perches quietly in a little loft, scribbling on something. I wait on the floor with Ruby, in awkward silence, with the faint scribbling sound of a pen. After a while, Emerald hops down and reveals a map. "So, this is where we are", she says guesturing to a small brown hut. She moves her paw in a wide arch and finally lands on a far away tree, named the Great Oak. "And this is where our destination is. We best leave now while we still have the cloak of darkness to conceal us," she remarks, and then folds up the map into a little square. She pops it into a little pouch before turning to me and giving me my own pouch. I nod in thanks and strap it onto me, tightly. Ruby gets up and removes a blanket which is hiding a secret passage way. "This is where I'll have to leave you. Good..." She starts. Her voice falters and cracks a little. I'm guessing it's because she has to leave Emerald. "Good bye Emerald. Good luck out there, be careful, and stay strong," she says through tears now, as she hugs Emerald. After a lot of hugs, crying, and me standing there awkwardly, Emerald makes her way through the passage. Ruby turns to me, and quietly whispers, "An..n..d, Relic, please take care of my little sis..s..s for me." I nod and Ruby steps back, covering her face in her paws. I slowly crouch down and inch my way bit by bit through the tunnel. It's quite cramped, a cat could easily fit through the tunnel but it's harder for me. My horns scrape the ceiling, feathers snagging every not smooth surface, and dust coats me with thick layers every step. I emerge into pitch darkness but can't see Emerald. I shout, "Emerald where are you?" No reply. Suddenly two eyes blink at me. But they're not green like Emerald's, they're deep blue.
