Mhm, I'm entering this contest for the third time. This time I'm entering for Capricorn and Scorpio. They both looked super cool upon revisiting the project, and I had a new pose I wanted to try out on a character. Well I suppose it isn't new exactly, As I have used it on my entry for @birdsaresocute 's DTA. Name: Cove Gender/Pronouns: She/Her/They/Them Fav prey: Sparrows, much to the distaste of her friend Sparrow Color: Crimson("Do not call it red. Crimson burns much deeper and fiercer than fire - engine red ever could, yet does not call any attention to itself." -Cove) Shape: Star("Although I despise the need of a shape to represent the glittering Suns of the night sky, I must say we chose quite the elegant shape." -Cove) Word: Memory("For without memory, we truly are worth nothing; to spend life blundering about with no thought whatsoever is a waste." -Cove) Other wolf: Sparrow("I suppose it must be her, but don't expect a romantic relationship anytime soon! We're merely friends." -Cove) Lore(Told from Cove's perspective): The first memory I have is falling from the sky and the stars rushing past. It felt as though I was a star myself with a pulsing energy inside, this light that guided me. As soon as I hit the ground, though, the brightness of my soul died out. The waves washed against my paws as my eyelids slowly closed. When they opened again, the residual wonder of falling through the stars was gone and a sand-colored face was left. This was the face that stared at me now, with its wavy stripes and short fur. "HI THERE!!!" It screamed. "I'm Sparrow. What's your name?!" "IS there truly a need to scream? And I don't know my name. In my realm there is no need for names." This was true. In the stars, everyone connects to one another just the same, with or with our a label. "OooOoOOOoH!! You're one of those star-wolves my daddy told me about! You and your besties watch over us and fall to earth when they're done watching over and guiding a lost soul. Come in!" Eventually, I learned her name and grew closer to her. My life followed a repetitive routine until me and Sparrow were ready to descend to the stars once more. Entry the second Name: Shale Gender/Pronouns: Fluid male Fav Prey: Deer Color: Silver("They way it shines is mesmerizing..." -Shale) Shape: Triangle("A unique shape, but common enough to be accepted... Reminds me of me." -Shale) Word: Sky("It holds such potential in a three letter word; almost makes me want to see it stretch above me." -Shale) Other Wolf: Cloud("I admire how light and airy the young can be, and this one especially.") Lore: I was too young to remember what had happened, but I was told I had waited for my mom to open her eyes. Now I understand she won't ever again. I've found other things to fill my time besides sulking like ol' Beast. He spends all day reminiscing his past victories and despising what happens when he grows old. I spend my days hunting for food to eep my family alive. Other than that I'll play with little Cloud. The Underground gets so lonely, as a refugee center should be. End Notes: Honestly, writing lore for these characters was so much fun and I do hope I get at least one of them. VC, you’ll notice I added patterns to Shale/Scorpio. I made sure to add in the version w/o the extra patterns too. A note for VC: if both my entries qualify so you have to choose please choose Shale/Scorpio! I rlly like his design, more than the others(Virgo is a close second)
