Release: 2005 Discontinued: 2006 Recall Notice: On April 27, 2006, the ZK Ceiling Fan Company officially issued a voluntary recall for all 60" ZK Auten Ceiling Fans equipped with a 5-way light fixture due to a serious manufacturing defect in the lighting fixture. Under certain conditions, the light housing can short-circuit and pose an immediate electrical shock hazard that can shock users upon contact. Only fans configured with this specific 5-way light fixture are affected by this recall. If your fan has the switch cap installed instead of the light, your unit is safe and you should keep it on there. Similarly, if your fan features an alternative ZK-branded light fixture that is not a 5-way light, it is not affected by this notice. Remedy: Users must immediately turn off the power at the circuit breaker, temporarily remove the defective light kit assembly from the fan, and contact ZK to receive a free, upgraded replacement light or go to your local hardware store for a ZK branded universal light kit,
