• ─────── ☏ ─────── • ring… ring… ring… hii! looks like you’ve found your way to this project… oh no! now there’s a very scary fungus that is endangering the population and the only way to stop it is if you join the apocalyptic call center and help us take calls from those affected while figuring out a cure for the disease… • ─────── ☏ ─────── • Scratch Writing Camp, commonly known as SWC, is a triannual virtual writing camp that takes place right here on Scratch, and is running this November! The camp offers fun writing prompts and activities that update daily as well as longer ones weekly, plus unique activities that encourage teamwork and bonding with your fellow campers! There is also a competitive aspect to SWC, although the campwide focus still is on self-care and improvement <3 Work together with your cabin to complete activities, or just write whatever you want (because in the end, every word counts for points in the final ranking) and climb the leaderboard :eyes: • ─────── ☏ ─────── • Wait, before you head over to sign up-! Speaking of cabins, you should definitely consider putting Apocalyptic in your preferences! This session, Apocalyptic is led by Em @iinspirqtion, Silky @starryy-silk, and me, also known as the heads of the call center you’ll be a part of if you’re sorted into our cabin. You’ll be working with your fellow employees to answer calls from our leader volunteers and give them advice on navigating their unique situation based on the handbook (will be in a project!) issued to you. And of course, even though the cabin is called apocalyptic and the story is based off that, you’re free to write in any genre you’d like during the session and it’ll still count for words! It is really just a name bahaha • ─────── ☏ ─────── • SWC truly has something for everyone, so no matter if you’re a seasoned writer or someone just trying it out for the first time, we’d love for you to join us - we promise you’ll love it <3 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1369424369/ The SWC FAQ can be found here for any common questions: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1350105570 If you have any other questions about Apocalyptic or SWC in general, feel free to ask on this project! The hosts are probably really busy so I’d rather not bother them but if it’s something that I genuinely don’t know how to answer then I’ll redirect then ;w; • ─────── ☏ ─────── • :: ☏ credits Official SWC Records: Description based off Apocalyptic’s cabin description written by Em Thumbnail art drawn by Yume, pointing finger is traced off the disc emoji Music is DNA (Dream N Access) by tripleS sun Em, Yume and Silky for staying hard at work in these trying times You for saving the world • ─────── ☏ ─────── •
