Script for episode one # DRAGON BALL SUPER: FRACTURED FUTURE ## Episode 1: The Warning ### SCENE 1: NAMEK *Namek's green sky stretches over a rocky training ground. Goku and adult Gohan exchange a rapid series of blows. Piccolo watches from a nearby ridge.* **SFX:** Rapid impacts, rushing wind, shifting stone. **GOKU:** "You're getting faster, Gohan! You're not leaving me much room to breathe!" **GOHAN:** "You told me to stop holding back, Dad!" *Gohan feints left and lands a clean strike. Goku blocks at the last second, skidding backward with a grin.* **GOKU:** "Heh! Okay, that one was good!" **PICCOLO:** "Less talking. Keep moving." *Before they resume, a familiar energy suddenly appears nearby. A flash of light erupts across the plateau.* *Vegeta materializes in his Yardrat outfit. His expression is stern.* **VEGETA:** "Kakarot. Gohan. Piccolo. We need to get to Earth. Now." **GOKU:** "Vegeta? What's happened?" **VEGETA:** "Frieza is making a move. We can't afford to be here when he reaches Earth." *Gohan's expression hardens.* **GOHAN:** "Then we shouldn't waste another second. If Frieza's targeting Earth, we need to get back before he makes his move." **PICCOLO:** "Agreed. But you didn't teleport all the way here just to deliver a warning. What's stopping you from leaving with us?" *Vegeta glances toward the distant horizon.* **VEGETA:** "This." *A powerful energy approaches. Zarbon descends from the sky and lands on the rocky ground.* ### SCENE 2: ZARBON **ZARBON:** "There you are, Vegeta. I wondered how long you'd keep running." **VEGETA:** "Running? You really haven't learned anything, have you?" **ZARBON:** "You abandoned your battle. Lord Frieza will be most interested to hear about that." **GOKU:** "Vegeta, is he the reason you came here alone?" **VEGETA:** "He's a distraction. Frieza is the real problem." **PICCOLO:** "Then we split up. We return to Earth while you handle Zarbon." **VEGETA:** "Not quite. You three are going to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber." **GOHAN:** "You want us to train while you stay behind?" **VEGETA:** "Earth needs warriors who can actually stop Frieza. The chamber gives you time to prepare without letting the outside world slip away." **GOKU:** "And you think you'll be fine here?" *Vegeta smirks.* **VEGETA:** "I think Zarbon has made the mistake of standing between me and something important." **ZARBON:** "Your confidence is as irritating as ever." **GOHAN:** "Vegeta, if things turn bad, don't try to handle everything yourself." **VEGETA:** "Save your concern for Frieza, Gohan. You'll need every bit of that strength." *Goku studies Vegeta for a moment, then nods.* **GOKU:** "All right. We'll get stronger and be ready." **PICCOLO:** "Come on. We don't have time to argue." *Gohan turns toward Vegeta.* **GOHAN:** "Don't make us regret leaving you here." **VEGETA:** "Just go!" *Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo take off toward their next destination. Vegeta turns back to Zarbon, his aura rising.* **ZARBON:** "Now, Vegeta. Shall we finish what you started?" **VEGETA:** "Gladly." *Their auras collide. The screen flashes white.* **CUT TO BLACK.** ### END OF OPENING SEQUENCE
