Hey everyone, I need to come clean about something. I've been addicted to the SSC. For months on end, I've done nothing in my free time but constantly refresh the SSC's page in hopes of seeing a new project. That, or I'd be mindlessly scrolling through the comment section. In a way, seeing this thriving community gathering to adore something I too enjoyed brought me comfort. Throughout my recent life's highs and lows I took to the studio and consumed countless projects. However, one thing stayed consistent - I only watched. I never contributed to the SSC or SSC² in any way, until a few hours ago when I decided to fire my first comment into the studio. Because of my inexperience I came out as tone-deaf, manipulative, and harsh. I want everyone hurt by my actions to know I only meant well when writing that comment, but I do understand I acted completely wrong. I was not in the right headspace to be speaking properly, and my foolish decision ended up hurting people. This addiction has been controlling my life, and I have decided that for my mental health and for the well-being of everyone else I will be quitting the SSC for good. I was never a member, but I will never return to watch any SSC projects or look at any SSC pages. I understand I must take accountability for my actions and so I believe this is the right decision to make for everyone. To all my close friends, thank you for sticking by my side, as this was an incredibly difficult transition. To everyone in the SSC, I will always love all of you, but I must never go back. To those I hurt, I am so deeply sorry - I want you to know I only said that out of deep respect and adoration of your work, not out of malice. I do not deserve a second chance, as I will probably end up making the same mistake again, so I'll retreat once again to my small pocket in the SOSC. I hope never again I'll be addicted to that studio.
