Today was the annual Christmas ball. Since Natja was still in her first year, she wasn't allowed to dance, but she was already looking forward to the next school year, when she would be able to join in. It suddenly occurred to her that she still had to wait two years before she could finally meet her brother at Hogwarts. This thought made her sad; she loved her brother dearly, and he was very fond of her, too. While Mily was very mean to him, Nadja hated the way she belittled her own brother. Charlotte didn't take part in that nonsense, but she didn't dare do anything about it either. Natja, however, always stood up for her brother. Back when the two of them had still lived at home—while their sisters were already at Hogwarts—they had finally enjoyed some peace and quiet. Once Tim came to Hogwarts as well, their parents would move back to the clan; Greystar—their aunt—was the leader there at the moment. At this thought, her sadness vanished, and she stopped thinking about home. For now, she simply sat at a table next to the dance floor, watching her sisters dance. Later, when she went to bed, her thoughts turned to home again. Tears rolled down her face as she thought about how much she missed Tim. Why had she decided to stay at Hogwarts over the Christmas holidays? She could have seen her family and had so much fun. But it was too late now; she would see her family again during the summer holidays. Natja looked forward to that, and then she fell asleep.
