Yayy finally done drawing these weird pepols uehhhh I'm to tired to explain the lore its like 8 AM rn, woke up at like 5 in the morning and I probably have eyebags idk I love these lil buggys Dunno about Desimon though Definitely Lumi though, but I haven't drawn her tho. Desimon is a Red-Spotted Purple butterfly, he is the prince of Solin (which is the Butterfly Kingdom, "Solin" derives from "Solace" like "Sun". Speak Solin but Solin is Represented by English.) Akras is a Blood-Red Acraea, she is the daughter of the war general Vermilion. She is one of the very few butterflies (by the end of the story, at the beginning no other butterfly at all does) that speak Noctin because of her Relationship with Hemlock. She is a very fast learner. Hemlock is a Calyptra Moth. He doesn't come from any high role of sorts, but he is one of many foragers (the Noctins are either the most organized or the most unruly social hierarchies any kind of bug would say) and he does also speak Solin. Badly, but he can form basically understandable sentences. (Noctin is the Moth Kingdom, derived from "Nocturnal" as they are the nocturnal kingdom, they speak Noctin which is not represented by any other language and I will not translate it if I ever show it, you just guess lol.) The border between Solin and Noctin is Crepusculan, from Crepuscular, which is what a creature who is only active at dawn AND dusk rather than day or night. Other random stuff about areas and regions •Preyfell: the Butterfly market, the first directly mentioned area in the story •Songbird's beak: named after the deadliest part of the deadliest predator of Butterflies, it is a place completely overrun by songbirds. It is a death wish to go over there. •Efechiä: the corner part of Noctin in which Hemlock and the rest of his family lives. (fun fact: Moths lay eggs wherever and adopt whichever caterpillars they like, finders keepers so moth families are very mixed. Hemlock has white witch moth for an aunt (Nona) and a Luna moth for a sis (Basil)) (Another fun fact: Hemlocks and Basil grows around the area, so that's how Hemlock and Basil got their names lol) Anyways, I would like to make this maybe a comic at some point. October 15. Yayy tomorrow, it will have been exactly 1 year since I got interested in Birds of prey!! Anyways, I added a drawing of the current main cast. I can't wait to rip your poor little hearts out of your chests with one of these guys all the way at the end of the story :)) Anyways, I don't know if I mentioned or not, but most moths don't have Mouths, so only some gifted individuals with mouths "Speak" Noctin. The most common language among Noctins is NSL (Noctin Sign Language). There is no specific code or string of movements to convey something. It is entirely interpretive, because moths don't know how to specifically string together 2 specific words quick enough if they have a specific position (and also because I know nothing of sign language and it would take ages for me to invent an actual language using 4-arm movement.) However, Noctin's audible language is more specific because they can string together specific words (and because I have ideas for the language).
Oct 10. I WILL BE BACK WITH MORE BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS ONE DAY ONE DAY MY BROTHERS (AND SISTERS) THAT IS WHY I HAVE THE DATES NEXT TO THE THINGIES- October 15. The comic will not come for a long time, but that's only because it would have chapters and parts. The chapters themselves have the parts, and there would be about 6 Chapters. How many parts in each? Not sure. I'd wait until I'd finished each part in Chapter 1 in order to finally put it up, and due to my lack of motivation, I don't know how long it will be until I finish part 1. However, I am scripting (as in describing how the scenes should look and stuff, not coding) things on Novelist. And I will not be releasing all parts at once. I might release each part over a few weeks just to spread it out a bit and then if I don't have the second chapter by then, there will be a wait. There will be many parts in the first chapter, so it won't be put out for a while. But, it will come out. Eventually. Maybe.
