She stands stiffly, speaks in tiny, quiet murmurs, and tends to stare blankly into space when overwhelmed. She hides her mouth behind her hands, making people think she is unapproachable, or cold. The second she feels safe with someone, her intense shyness evaporates into high-energy cuteness. She bounces on her heels, her little hair-wings flap rapidly when she gets excited, and she talks non-stop about her favorite hyper-fixations (baking, cute bugs, and starry nights). She loves surprising her favorite people with homemade pastries decorated to look like spooky skulls or hearts. // Despite her spooky look, she is easily frightened by sudden, loud noises (like popping balloons or slamming doors), which will cause her to accidentally morph into a bat out of pure reflex. Because she looks like a young teenager, older vampires rarely take her seriously in politics, and she struggles to buy blood packs or ingredients without someone questioning her. She has a massive sweet tooth. While she needs blood to survive, eating regular candy gives her an intense, hyperactive sugar rush followed by immediate, clumsy sleepiness. // Celeste can shrink her physical size down into a tiny, fluffy purple micro-bat to hide in pockets, escape tight spaces, or scout ahead undetected. By emitting a soft, low-frequency hum that humans can't hear, she can map out dark structures perfectly and detect heartbeats through solid walls. She is not a brawler. If cornered, she relies on minor levitation and her small size to zip through the air like an annoyed hornet, throwing small, exploding smoke charms or using her sharp fangs for a quick, defensive nip before retreating to high ground. // Celeste was the youngest daughter of a strict eccentric family in the early 1900s. Due to her frail health, she spent most of her time locked in her room drawing fairy tales. A sympathetic vampire family friend changed her to save her life, but her growth halted entirely, sealing her into her youthful, doll-like form. For over a century, she has lived a sheltered life, moving from one gothic subculture to another.
