The "Srivatsa" is an auspicious/sacred symbol with significance in Tibetan Buddhism. It symbolizes an "endless knot", an "eternal continuum", the "inter-twining of wisdom and compassion". To draw it, imagine you start from the center. Suppose the size of your step is s. Also define blocks to do the figures at the ends. One figure is a u-shape, and it has special orientation (left or right); the other figure is a square, and it also has special orientation (left or right). To draw the complete figure do a combination of steps, u-shapes and squares. NOTE: we have ignored the layering of the overlapping lines/strings where they intersect. This is problem is considered in knot theory.
