I do not own the original project. All rights go to the original owners. Well folks, here’s my entry for @79th’s animation contest, so no stealing or recoloring my art or animation So, for my entry, I ended up animating the gong song audio, and I ended up envisioning something when doing my own take on it For this animation, I decided to animate John Lennon and Paul McCartney singing the song, ending it with John hitting Paul with a gong Here are some details to how I came up with this: - John and Paul were both usually in charge of lead vocals - In addition to being known as a singer-songwriter, musician, and peace activist, John was also known for having a sense of humor - For the beginning, I zoomed into an acoustic guitar, but I was unable to draw the whole thing when I started animating John. However, the strumming animation shown at the start is also a reference to how he served as the band’s rhythm guitarist
Credit to @79th for the original project and contest, and also for the audio I animated People shown: John Lennon Paul McCartney Outro Song: You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away by The Beatles Also, for the ending where John hit Paul with the gong, I did try to go for a similar approach to when he pulled a prank on Paul where he gave him flowers after he performed Yesterday, and then left him with just the tube when the group appeared on Blackpool Night Out (Fun fact: The Beatles’ appearance on Blackpool Night Out marked the first time Yesterday was performed on UK television) Here’s a clip where the prank was pulled: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/S0G8xNlVqaQ/ You can also go here to watch the full performance from the group on the show: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/ru4yNVr_ouA/
