Mel Sanders "When can we ever move, mother?" Mel asked, staring at her house's black stone gate through the window. "June and her friends live in a luxurious mansion while we reside in a crooked place that can't even be described as austere." Mrs. Sanders turned off the kitchen faucet and turned her back to Mel, who was sitting straight on the brown leather couch. "Stop being so irksome. How many times do I have to tell you to never ask fatuous questions like those? We aren't moving for yours and my safety." Mrs. Sanders berated. Mel sighed as she looked at the dusty walls of the house that she lived for the last 11 years. On the window, she could see a blur reflection of her mother grabbing a grocery bag, along with her hat, sunglasses, and a long black trench coat. "Stay here, Mel. I'm going to go get some groceries. Do not do anything ridiculous." And just like that, her mother left, completely covered with black clothes. In the inside, Mel knew her house was odd and an anomaly among her entire neighborhood. She knew her irascible mother was hiding something. Or else, why would she be living like a prisoner, separated from the world? ୨⎯୧୨⎯୧ Chapter 2. A mysterious visitor Mel felt the tranquil atmosphere of her house. She felt the feeling of solitude and silence. Having nothing to do, she picked out a book of rudimentary 8th grade math. She flipped pages consecutively until she landed at the very back page. She had finished reading the thick book in a day. Then she heard rain drops from outside. Unfortunately, the rain seemed to be inexorable. As she gazed out the window, she heard the bell ringing. "Ding Dong!" Relentlessly, she got out of her couch, snatched an umbrella, and ran through the slippery path to the black gate. "Who is this? Don't make any fatuous questions." "Ms. Marione-" It was a voice of a man. "You are in danger. Two women are seeking to find you. Please keep this doll. It will keep you safe. I'll place it infront of this gate." Without a further explanation, the man seemed to have left her property. Normally, Mel was never allowed to open her gate regardless of danger. Nonetheless, Mel had the urge to open the gate this time. Curiously, Mel pressed the red button on the gate and watched as it slowly opened. A doll was laid on the sidewalk as the man had explained. It was a doll of a young girl with long, silky blonde hair, wearing a ballerina tutu. Mel did not comprehend what the man was saying. How was she in danger when barely anyone knew she existed? Who are these two women? And, why would a doll help her stay safe? Chapter 3 to be continued at another project. ୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧୨⎯୧ ꞋꞌꞋꞌ Extra: Story : GrekLato Inspiration : Coraline, The FNAF marionette ⌜ [ STRINGS ON HER - GREKLATO ] ⌟
