[UPDATES + FAQS AT THE BOTTOM] HELLO ! this is my take / possible solution to the inactivity problem in the comm, and i made this project to see what you guys thought and the possible pros and cons. please try to spread this more opinion is good as we all know, inactivity is a HUGE problem in the comm, if you havent noticed a lot of the studios arent as active as they used to be, which in turn really hurt the community as a whole. some reasons i believe this occured is because: 1. many people left for their own personal reasons, causing others to have less people to talk to, being more bored and unmotivated, sparking a chain of leavings until the community was almost dust 2. many managers in these studios aren't frequently active. yes, you may have things you have to do but if you're frequently inactive, not engaged in the community and never talking, i believe if you want to manage a studio, you have to be engaged with it and helping out. i constantly see forms being unanswered and the curators being forced to constantly repost forms. we need active managers !! 3. we aren't united into one single studio. this makes it hard because people don't know where to go, don't know which one is the main, and have to spread out across multiple studios. if there was a singular studio for the aesthetic community, i believe it could be more active. what can we do to solve this ? 1. my main idea is to possibly merge the two largest, starlight dist. and dolly comm, along with some others into one single aesthetic community. this way, there's one single unified place for people to look, for people to chat, etc. having more people to enforce rules is definitely a good way to keep people in check and to invite more curators 2. host more events- THESE are what keep people coming along with an active place to chat. secret santas, blue kits, comps, polls, activites it all brings people in 3. there's a HUGE portion of aesthetic or wannabe aesthetic scratchers that js dont have anywhere to talk, get help, or learn things they could've learned if they knew about the aes comm. advertising & bringing to light that single aes comm would do wonders and bring a huge number of people coming in 4. to help keep new aes scratchers motivated im thinking of a tutorial acc just made for helping teach new scratchers banners etc. the acc would have studios, each serving as course like "beginners vol 1" "intermediate vol 1" etc, like classes and going in depth into these topics and help them be more motivated 5. getting a project featured- this would redirect many people i do understand maybe you guys don't fully agree with me on parts so feel free to give any constructive criticism. if we go through with this studio, we can redo manager apps (as there are tons of active people that are deserving of the role whose apps never were replied to) and keep owners from the prev studs too (may, aliza, yani, etc) AGAIN this is not just like for nothing this is what think would be an effective solution to inactiveness in the comm and a way to bring back motivation in some people, since i know personally that not having many friends/sources of messages or talking hinders motivation a lot. please give your opinions and let this be seen by managers and other people of the comm. please don't give any advice in favor/regards of yourself, please think about the community as a whole too. i've been part of the community for around 4 years now, and i truly care a lot about it. FAQS Q: Who will manage/host this possible community? There are already many managers within the studios to be merged. A: We likely would rehost apps or have studios nominate 1-2 managers to manage the new one. We would also likely try out a rotating manager system. Q: How will you 'merge' the studios? A: We can do this by simply creating a new studio to have a common ground. We don't know the ins and outs of everything quite yet, though Q: How will we make this new studio more successful? A: We have to do this by heavily advertising it, bringing in new people, and creating an active environment. I actually have my own plan to benefit the community further if we have this new studio. Q: If we merge, will I have to fill out a new form or will I be automatically invited? A: Chances are you'll like have to refill your form but we can try our best to keep it as short as possible. As you may know the studios already have tons of curators and reinviting them all manually would take an eon to do. UPDATE: i do notice a lot of people are reluctant due to reasons such as it being too difficult or on a scale too large to manage, but we aren't just bringing back people who left/merging the current members together, i also hope to bring in scratchers who want to make banners or be part of the comm who just dont know about it and have no place to chat. if we thoroughly plan this, it could work out. having one studio can solve the problem of being forced to hop around multiple.
