Ive been on scratch for four and a half years, and in those 4.5 years, I’ve seen SO much happen on here, and honestly, I find it freaking CRAZY that this all happened **HERE**, innocent little Scratch. First off, AI use and people literally feeding PEOPLE’S ART INTO AI. I HAVE SEEN THIS SO, SO MANY TIMES. It literally even happened to me. It makes me SO upset to see this happening because people’s art that took them HOURS to learn how to draw is getting fed into AI and spit out as slop. “But Rain, I can’t bwut I cawn’t dwaw!-“ I CANT EITHER, OKAY BUDDY??? LISTEN UP. EVERYONE CAN DRAW. EVERYONE. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PICASSO LEVEL, IT REALLY DOESN'T. YOU KNOW WHY I’M REALLY PISSED OF THOUGH? I’VE SPENT THE PAST 2 YEARS DRAWING SERIOUSLY AND THEN I SEE PEOPLE TAKE THAT EFFORT AND WORK I PUT IN OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS AND FEED IT INTO AI. “Bwut Rain, pwompting is so hard! I haf to descwibe what I want and the AI hewps me make it! It’s supa hard!-“ NO ITS NOT. NO. IT. IS . NOT. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON PEOPLE USING AI TO WRITE. I’m going to admit something, however. When I was much younger, and AI was still pretty new, I would ask it to write me um… warriors fanfics, and would claim them as my own. HOWEVER (COMMA), that was OVER 2 years ago and I have grown way past that. And while I understand little kids using it once to make some stupid image of a flying giraffe or something, what I really, really know pisses me off is when these kids feed stuff into it. It needs to be banned on Scratch. It has to be. If not, who KNOWS what people will post? WHO KNOWS?? And if you use ai, STOP IT RIGHT NOW. THE DATA CENTERS USE UP MILLIONS, IF NOT BILLIONS OF GALLOONS OF ATER EVERY SINGLE DAY. WATER THAT A PERSON IN NEED AND IN CRISIS COULD BE DRINKING IS BENIG USED TO COOL DOWN YOUR POOR CHATBOT BC IT GOT TOO WARM FOR IT AND IT MIGHT EXPLODE. So um yeah. I’m mad.
