| Update 12. | XC Hire with Light Today is a very fun update! We were kindly gifted a free xc hire around Alpines new Cross country course by @ThePony229 so thank you so much! Onto the update... I was debating on who to bring tdy but in the end decided Light would benefit the most from the outing as she is the most inexperienced established event horse i have atm (if yk what I mean). The course is absolutely amazing especially for greener horses. She absolutely flew fence 1 which was quite a small log and perfect to warm up over! She was so game to fence 2 and 3- she didn't bat an eye at the giant carrot i asked her to jump! Her back end was absolutely insane (as always) to fence 4 which was a slightly bigger fence. I was a bit worried about jumping down into the water but Light was incredible and hs popped straight in! Fence 6 was quite a big double but she flewww over it and made the 1 stride so easily. Again I wasn't too sure ho shed be going down the steps but she genuinely couldn't care less she understood what I asked so well! Then into the water complex again, this time over a decent enough fence which she gave such a good feeling over. The key hole was probably my biggest worry as its a veryyy big question for them but Light took it like a log and flew through it. She popped over the next fence really nicely which was ac quite wide. And clear over the last! I couldn't have asked for more especially from her first time going properly cross country schooling!
