@yellyfishh217, hi my SDAS mentor, this is my art compilation for feedback. Please bear with my extraordinarily long description for EACH ARTWORK lol. (This is my 2-week art compilation I guess :D) 0: MartinaMarvellous SDAS Feedback Project (Mentee): As my messy handwriting shows, yeah :P 1: This is my first piece of legitimate digital art. It was done on Microsoft Whiteboard. Took me 1-2 hours, this character's name is Sil/Syl. 2: A little doodle I did to showcase uhhh a shadow with an eye? 5 minutes, Microsoft Whiteboard. 3: Another doodle to show how um a drip of shadow (basically Sil/Syl's blood) turns into a shadowy thing with an eye. 10 minutes doodle, Microsoft Whiteboard. 4: A 45 minutes drawing showing how annoyed Sil/Syl is at the girl with the bow thing on her head. Microsoft Whiteboard. (1-4 were done on the same day) 5-8: This is the process of an entry to @_-Nori-_ 's DTIYSE. This is my first time using Kleki. DETAILED EXPLANATION: 5: Using a soft pastel colour, I first created the background in one layer. I then created another layer and drew the cat with a brighter yellow. I spent 10 minutes doing this lineart sketch. Then I created another layer and added the cookie jar rectangle, chopsticks and shrimp on the head. 6: I did the eyes, I used black on the top and yellow at the bottom and used the blending brush to do a colour gradient, as the original is like. I coloured in the nose and mouth with pink and made it lineless at the nose-mouse part. Then, I coloured in the skin with grey and added the shadowing using a separate layer, first with a few strokes of flat colour and then blending it. The lineart is also replaced by three thin lines of Red Green and Blue (as the original is like) to show the effect of looking through the window. 7: I did the same for the side tuft of hair, repeated. 8: I did it for the whole cat (without the accessories) and coloured the insides of the ear with a softer grey. 9: I did the cookeh jar by first drawing the light blue line art, and then the cookies in the bottom layer. Then I coated light blue on top and decreased the opacity, and added the Cookeh label. The shadows, I just did it in 5 minutes by drawing the same cat (so it is rough as I didn't copy paste) and the tabletop is a uniform brown. I added the chopsticks by doing brown lineart and colouring it in with a light brown, with a colour gradient. The shrimp is very straight forward, with a simple lineart, some criss cross shapes and colour and shadowing. I also rendering a orangey colour with low opacity on another layer over this artwork. This is the finished product. 5-9: EDIT: I also thinned the lines around the eyes. At 7. And I spent 6 hours on this artwork :) 10: Syth's reference sheet, I was trying to practice anatomy so I thought why not. Around 2 hours of work, as it was my first time doing a reference sheet. I did it on Kleki. 11: A doodle of the same cat. I was practicing expression and eye shapes. Around 20 minutes. On goodnotes, the note-taking app on my laptop. 12: Some copy pasted eye from the last picture. I was also practicing human hair in this doodle. First time drawing 'bangs'. I also drew a cute kitty paw!! Goodnotes. 13: Random doodle in Kleki of a cat with a flower on the head. 10 minutes? 14: Eyyyy 20 minutes doodle. I drew it on Kleki and I was like 'Let me experiment with the red colour the default red.' and I came up with this. The eyes and shadow tree thingy are a little disturbing. Anyways, this was a sketch and pretty much venting. I am deciding on whether to make this a story. 15: Another OC I made up for the story I mentioned in 14. On Kleki, 5 minutes sketch. 16: The same, but with ketchup sauce. They are a rat thingy, and they like eating... yeah. 17: The same rat. On Kleki. I like red but this isn't as red. I did it with too thick lineart because I didn't switch it back from when I coloured in the background. But well it still looks kinda good. Right? Like 15 minutes. 18: This is my 5 minutes sketch doodle on Kleki as a thumbnail for my chatroom, as my original thumbnail was too ugly. This is the OC that evolved from the original 13. 19: This is a birthday gift made for , character by , yep. It took me like 30 minutes - 1 hour. I had to rush it a bit. Her birthday was on October 9! On Kleki. Please tell me if you need detailed descriptions of how I did any of those artworks, how long I took, inspiration, etc. :D
