So as you have seen in the project title I am mostly going to try to be inactive here except for checking in occasionally. I'll be sharing a few reasons why though. The first reason is that, to put it lightly, scratch has become a dumpster fire. AI slop, art theft, hate, attention seeking, negativity, tracing, and overall not great stuff happening with the community here. I have a different site to go to that doesn't really have this problem. Frankly, I have no reason to deal with all that when I can just leave. Second, the site itself hardly works. Poor moderation, broken explore page, the search bar doesn't even work sometimes, ext ext. Plus, soon Scratch is gonna be adding that coding AI tool thing and I feel like that ruins scratch for me. One of the main things about scratch at the beginning was just being like "Wow, this entire project, from concept to debugging, was made by an actual person!" And having that tool kinda ruins that. I'd rather play a buggy game that didn't use AI than a perfectly made AI generated one. Third, I am older now. I know everyone says this. But it is true. I will want to write about darker themes and not have to worry about traumatizing young children in doing so. I want to be able to talk to people my own age and be confident that they are not a five year old pretending to be a teen. Fourth, because I need to try to move away from social media a lot. Honestly I need to start taking my own advice and staying off the internet for the most part to spare my own mental health. Scratch and the studios I have are a big reason of why I am online all the time, so I think I need to let it go and move on. But before you panic- I will not be leaving until everything is sorted out. As for my studios, the ESSA gang will be given a new owner and the aleins of scratch will be closed as they are hardly used in the first place. And if you noticed that I unshared all my projects on every account, that is because I want to be able to protect my stuff from all the things I listed in the first reason I'm leaving. I also feel like a lot of people are leaving right now, for mostly the same reasons. So to clarify and summarize a bit. I'm gonna be mostly inactive after I sort things out with the studios other than checking occasionally and almost all my projects have been unshared. I may post rarely but it is not likley.
