NAME: Multiplication 1-digit quiz w graphic representation ACTIVITY: Scratch SUBJECT: Math - Operations - Multiplication - 1-digit numbers 0-9 GRADE: 2-3 PURPOSE: Practice simple multiplication INSTRUCTIONS: The student selects the correct answer from a list of four multiple choice answers by clicking on one of the possible answers. If the selected answer is incorrect, that option will be hidden and the student must keep trying until they select the correct answer. __________________________________________ DESCRIPTION: This is a simple practice lesson with multiplication problems and no instruction. It consists of basic multiplication problems with two 1-digit numbers. The problem is displayed in a horizontal format, e.g. 9 x 8 = ? The student selects the correct answer from a list of four multiple choice answers by clicking on one of the possible answers. If the selected answer is incorrect, that option will be hidden and the student must keep trying until they select the correct answer. When the correct answer is selected, it will proceed to the next problem. It does NOT show the student's score of correct or incorrect answers. There is a "Show" button which will display a graphic representation of the problem, using livestock animals (chicken, cow, donkey, goat, pig, sheep). The animals are show in a grid with the multiplicand (first number) represented by the number of animals in a row and the multiplier (second number) by the number of rows. All questions are random, and there are an unlimited number of questions. __________________________________________ LANGUAGE: English, minimal to no fluency required (uses 1 English word - "Show") TEACHER: Teacher's presence is not required. MOUSE: Student will need to use the mouse or touchpad to move the pointer and click on the answer. KEYBOARD: Keyboard is not used SOUND: There are no sounds.
