My creatures... my little bugs... Basic World is an OC story I've wanted to share with the class for a while, but now I've finally gotten around to it yippee ^-^ ---- In a basic world such as ours, we're used to magic and myths being relegated to pieces of fantasy. But what if a small part of that mythos was real? What if you had to grow up as one of these anomalies? What kind of person would you become? ---- 1. || Seigi Shoutou || Oct. 16 A burnt-out gifted kid born as a shinigami (Japanese death kami) and hailed as a living miracle growing up. Has a twisted love-hate relationship with his otherworldly heritage, but ultimately despises how inhuman he feels. In classic storybook fashion, everything changes one day when he begins taking an interest in his reclusive next-door neighbor... ---- 2-3. || Erudite 'Rue' Modius || Nov. 26th Seigi's neighbor and the disowned former heir to the wealthy Modius Tech Conglomerate, sheltered from the world from birth due to the deformation of the left side of his face. Once he became an adult, he ran away with the help of his best friend, Mina. Currently works as a surprisingly competent Private Eye, but because of his lack of promotion, he rarely gets clients. ---- 4. || Mina Rockcliffe || May 7th Born Jessimina Reddibranch, changed her name soon after going no-contact with her parents. Her parents were friends with Rue's, which led the two of them to becoming fast friends as well, and when Rue ran away, Mina was quick to support him. She's a successful illustrator/artist now, and housemates with Rue. Absolutely nothing is wrong with her childhood. She can't recall much, anyways. ---- 5. || Gecko Oswald || Oct. 2nd A clone from an illegal cloning ring founded by the underground Laboratory Lazarus, grown from the DNA of a notorious serial killer who was never caught. He's currently being prepared to be sold off to a lab for further testing. ---- 6-7. || Kiril Oswald || June 18th Gecko's genetic donor, now since deceased. A former software developer for Modius Tech who had become a serial killer, going uncaught until his eventual death. Gecko is afraid of turning out like him. ---- 8-9. || Seigi || He's forgotten. Somewhere in October? For context, this is what Seigi will look like once fully grown.
