Casualties: Coalition ~ 3.2B UCOP ~ 1.6B Civilian ~ 12.3B Cause: The question of the succession of the Imperial Klingon throne between the UCOP backed Qing princess Jin Gord'ik, and the Romulan backed House of Pik'toth, Batzi'vu Fu mercenaries. Results: Merging on the Romulan Empire into Vulcan, Cardassian annexation of Bajor and entry into the confederation, Personal union established between the Klingon Empire and United Empire of Earth. Final unification of all human colonies as the Human Civilization, reformation of the Confederation into the United Civilizations, a more centralized state build on the ideology of Hekel's Revolution of 2180 on the evolved role of the Nation-State in a interstellar plane. ______________________ Lore: Emperor Ti'peth of the Klingon Empire, dies during a hunting accident on his private grounds not far from the capital. His death means war between the Romulan Star Empire and the Kaiser's led United Confederation, in what would prove the final showdown between the ancient empire and upstart earth.... In the aftermath of the Interstellar Coalition war fought between the UCOPS and its Cardassian ally against the Klingon - Bajoran alliance, a prince of the Qing Dynasty on campaign would fall in love with an enemy princess, presenting an opportunity to preserve the peace between the two species. They would marry, and have a daughter, the first of her kind. But when the Emperor suddenly died without an heir, this princess had the opportunity to claim the throne. The Kaiser immediately backed the idea, knowing a sort of personal union between both Empires would bring vast resources and capabilities. Exactly what earth's most steadfast enemy, the Romulan star empire fears. Having seen its historic territory eroded by the upstart, they will not allow this to slide. And thus back the princess's uncle for the throne. Civil war erupts in the empire, as the Jin the half human princess moves in with UCOP backed forces onto the homeworld itself. Critically proving herself as a honourable warrior despite being "impure" Gradually gaining support, while her uncle loses support due to his growingly evident ties with the despised Romulans. Soon, the Kaiser himself moves with his force, and secures a massive victory over the "rebel" Klingon forces and Romulan detachments, hopes for a quick and glorious war are high...... But shattered once news reaches him from the Romulan frontiers, of colonies massacred, the field forces routed, Vulcan itself taken, and earth under threat, as the Batzi'vu Fu nomads begin taking advantage of the situation and raid deep into Human space, while the Romulans attempt to attack the very concept of the Confederation's Unificationist ideals via a strategy akin to Hannibal in Italy, turning Rome's allies against it..... ________________ A NEW AGE: This war, despite being earth's hardest yet, has taught many valuable hard lessons that'll do it good in the hard road ahead....
