We suppose they are using guerilla warfare, so we focus on raiding their strongholds and other key locations. 2. Defences are built south and east of the land the rebels occupy, to stop them from attempting to expand further into Iraq or flee. 3. Iraqi troops attack from the southeast, where they will meet the Syrian forces in the middle.
