1. The Setup & Calibration • Download OREMO and download a standard English Arpasing reclist (index text file). • Set your pitch guide: Use a piano app or tone generator to find C3 or E3. • Calibrate your microphone: Sit a consistent distance (about 6 inches) away from the mic. Eliminate background noise (turn off fans or AC). 2. The Recording Process • Open the list in OREMO: Load the Arpasing list. • Match the key: Sing/speak the words in a comfortable, relaxed C3 to E3 register. • Do not force the depth: Keep your vocal cords relaxed; avoid growling or scratchy vocal fry. • Control your timing: Hold vowels for a steady 1.5 to 2 seconds. • Keep it monotone: Do not change your pitch or slide up and down while holding the vowel. • Keep consonants crisp: Pronounce sounds like TH, DH, V, and R naturally without over-exaggerating them. 3. File Check • Check for clipping: Ensure your voice isn't hitting the red zone on the volume meter (no distortion). • Save and export: Export your recordings as 16-bit Mono WAV files.
