The Monarchist Regime of these islands was foolish; they never properly developed industries or infrastructure. Leaving our new nation with a backwards economy from the start. The time has come to correct that wrong, the Central Government in Java has passed the first 5-year plan. This is a plan that will go on for 5 years and will kickstart rapid development of infrastructure and the industries of these islands. We continue to fund the brilliant silk industries, though we move away from Serf Employment methods of hold to actually start hiring people. On top of that, we begin setting aside certain areas for Industry and Industry alone. There are some islands that are good for agriculture, and we lay them aside for that but the others that will see rapid development of factories and resource mines. We also officially establish the first Government Ferry System between the islands, allowing our people to get around without having to rely on their own boats. There will be a dock on every single island where the ferries can land.
