TRIGGER WARNING: blood, death Chapter Two When the Kazian troops arrived at Yitwrm there were Tooh-bon troops surrounding the fort. “Now,” said General Jerto, “When I give the signal, charge!” Reno clutched his new sword and shield in his hands, his mind and heart racing. Soon, General Jerto gave the signal “CHARGE!” the general screamed while a battle began. Troops started swarming out of the fort. As soon as he stepped onto the battlefield Reno was attacked by lambriks and rats. He was able to cut most of the rats down but the lambriks were harder. “Die” the lambrik hissed to him. Reno thrust the sword forward as the lambrik made a lunge for him. The sword stuck itself into the lambrik as the beast fell limp. Reno noticed that the fort was in flames. It was a lost cause if you fought for Kaz because everywhere Kazian soldiers were being killed “Run for it, men!” were General Jerto’s last words, which he spoke while being nailed to a wall by his ankles. Kazian soldiers fled from every direction, including Reno and Hoor. As the soldiers fled the Tooh-bon army gave chace. Reno hid behind a tree. From his hiding place Reno could hear the soldiers talking “That way!” a lambrik yelled. Suddenly, Reno ran as fast as he could with his sword in front of him charging through the squadrons of monsters. His count of monsters Reno had slain was about viekntra or, one hundred in your language. Soon, Reno was surrounded by rats wielding sword-bows “Bind him.” commanded the one who seemed to be the leader. Reno was bound and led to the prisoner ship, which was bound for Emolf. Reno was unbound inside the ship and was tossed some messy glop by a boblin who said, “Eed id, idz pikd sclean. If you dun’t eet id den iddl be you in da meels .” Reno choked down his food. “Gather the prisoners!” proclaimed a formidable lambrik wearing skull armor and an eyepatch. “If” said the lambrik “You want to make it to emolf then you better earn your keep. You can do that by shutting up and rowing.” The next few days were filled with hours of strenuous rowing and with boatloads of blisters. One day Reno was shaken awake by cannonfire and a voice “Get up!” It said, “Grab an ore and chop some Tooh-Bon!” Reno rolled out of his “bed” and noticed that he was being spoken to by a rower behind him. Enthusiastically, he stood up, grabbed an ore and started fighting. When Reno fought his way to the deck he noticed that there were ships of all kinds attacking the Emolfian fleet. After a very bloody battle and after Reno had wiped boblin guts off his face the soldiers were being loaded onto a Kazian ship for training. Surprisingly, the training began as soon as Reno got onto the ship. Every day the soldiers were woken at fourth hour (4:00 am), ran laps around the colossal vessel, practiced with their swords on training dummies, and had breakfast at eighth hour (8:00 am). This strenuous method of training went on until they reached Rab Harbor there, they were unloaded and marched to the base. The Rab Harbor base was built out of the remains of ships that had wrecked on the craggy shores of Rock Beach (Creative name!) As soon as word had reached King Dultham Kaz XXIII a new general was chosen. This general was General Hore .I. Bile, who was a seasoned fighter and had seen many battles with the Tooh-Bon alliance. “Alright you maggots!” the general said, “You are Soft! Anyone who was captured in a battle that light is soft!” “That battle was light?” The soldier next to Reno gasped “Yes, maggot! I'm surprised that the Tooh-bon didn’t finish ya off! Yer was already half-dead when you stepped onna da battlefield! ” “B-b-but-” AND DROP AND GIMME TWO HUNDRED! THE REST OF YOU TWENTY LAPS FOR THIS MAGGOT HEAD’S LOOSE JAW! ONE FAILS AND EVERYONE FACES IT! “I-i-if t-t-t-that’s l-l-l-light” “QUIT YER STAMMERING, YA (cencored) THE TOOH-BOON WAS GOING EASY ON YOUSE! I’VE BEEN IN BATTLES TWENTY TIMES DAT! NOW QUIT YER YAMMERING I DON’T WANNA SEES DAT ON DA FIELD OF BATTLE! YOU’RE ALREADY IN HOT WATER AFTER YOU (cencored) PRACTICALLY GAVE THEM YITWRM! THAT (cencored) JERTO DIDN’T THINK TO TRAIN YOU EVEN THOUGH IT WAS YER FIRST (cencored) BATTLE! ” The general’s ranting went on for several hours while the soldiers were dashing around the courts but will not be repeated here for if it was written down then this book would immediately be banned.
That night Reno was so sore as soon as he laid down in bed he instantly fell asleep dreaming dreams of sweating and shouting. The Kazian troops were awoken by General Hore at deathlight (midnight) for marching to the next battle “Get out of yer beds, ya blind slugs! We’ll be marchin’ teh da mounts!” The Mountains of Kaz were uninhabited except for an outpost and a small village. “Get you up!” shouted General Hore, “It’s inna be a lot o’ marchin’!” Grogily, the soldiers climbed out of bed. After a miles of strenuous marching the Kazian troops arrived at the mountain pass where an army of monsters were waiting for their arrival. Soon a battle was in place. The battle was frightening. Reno was trying as hard as he could not to lose his head both literally and figuratively. There was much gore in the battle, most of which will not be described here for its brutality. Reno was surrounded by lambriks and boblins, and not knowing what to do he swung his sword in a large circle, which took out the four beasts cornering him. After a long and bloody battle suddenly, the ground rumbled with the fury of a hundred earthquakes, even the air shook like the beating of a thousand wings, and a cloud of strange, twisted beasts attacked. The features of these beasts were like hairless bats or, as General Hore described them, “A pack ‘o flyn’ rats!” These monsters looked almost melted and you could see their bones, which was oddly pleasant. They wore the same kind of leather hats and goggles as the rats and had small spikes on the tips of their wings. The bats had pinkish skin, like the color of uncooked meat or pig skin. END OF CHAPTER 2 Yikes, that chapter was heavy. Only 2 chapters in and we have a brutal war on our hands. YOOO THAT MUSIC IS AWESOME
