here the prologue: PROLOGUE: in which two children meet A girl darts between the trees of a forest that surrounds her home town, the sound of leaves crushed under her feet. She doesnt know what she's running from, but she heard a sound echo through the foliage around her. "Stop!" A voice shouts. She freezes, not knowing what to trust: her gut, or the voice. A boy, with messy red hair appears besides her. He grabs her wrist, and pulls her along a trail that seemed to appear out of no where. "i know who you are" the two kids say at the same time. The boy, stops dead in his tracks "then help me." he tells her, before starting to run again. They enter the town that they are from soon after, being greeted by a sign that reads 'welcome to Uilopa! the city of saftey!'. The boy then leads the girl down an allyway, and into a small house, that the girl suspects is the Governers' house that the family sometimes uses when traveling between this side of the forest and the other side. The boy then proceeds to climb a ladder, puling the girl with him. when they reach the top, her pulls her into a room, shuts the ddoor, and finally stops. "My name is Jax, i am the chaotic son of the Governer of Uilopa..and i need to escape." the boy introduces himself. "my name is Astra, im just a normal girl from our town. why would you need me?" the girl says. and from that moment on, they become friends
