Saw this song recently and wanted to use it so here it is also rewriten the lore a bit (it's just fancier lookin): The air in the shaft was always thick with coal dust and the smell of wet earth. KuliZer knew that smell better than anything. He spent twelve hours a day swinging an iron pick into dark rock just to earn enough scrap to buy stale bread. Down here, everyone was hungry, but KuliZer mostly kept his head down and tried not to starve. Jaide was different. She had the [CONSTRUCT] core, and she actually gave a damn. She’d spent weeks fixing KuliZer’s worn-out gear, teaching him basic mechanics between shifts so he wouldn't break his back for nothing. But she also listened to Captain Amaya. When Amaya started talking about pulling down the Duke and taking the city, Jaide bought into it completely. KuliZer tried to talk her out of it. He was terrified. He knew how the Duke's Royal Guards worked—especially the bastard with the [ILLUMINATE] core who patrolled their sector. KuliZer didn't care about nobility or freedom; he just wanted to stay alive. When the uprising started, Jaide’s job was to kill that guard. KuliZer was late coming up from the deep tunnels. By the time he dragged himself into the village square, the fight was almost over. Stone was shattered everywhere, burned black by searing light. Jaide was on her knees, coughing up blood, but the guard was barely standing either, his light flickering and weak. "Jaide!" KuliZer yelled before he could stop himself. She turned her head toward his voice. It took half a second. The guard didn't hesitate. A streak of white blinding light tore through the air, hitting Jaide square in the chest. She hit the ground without making a sound. KuliZer’s mind went completely blank. Before he could even run to her, the guard turned toward him, weapon raised. KuliZer wasn't a warrior—he was just a guy holding a heavy mining tool. He threw himself forward out of pure panic, swinging wildly at a man who could kill him with a thought. The fight was ugly, desperate, and short. KuliZer survived only because the guard was already half-dead. But as the guard fell, a stray blast of light caught KuliZer’s right arm, cooking it to the bone. When it was over, the silence in the cavern was deafening. Jaide was gone, but her [CONSTRUCT] core was still humming in the dirt. KuliZer lost his arm that day, but they used what was left of her core to forge a new one\the Hand of Alchemy. Now, every time he moves his right hand, he feels the weight of the only person who ever tried to help him.
